Who is Sima

Sima, real name Simona Hégerová, is a Slovak singer from Trnava who describes herself as a “rapping singer” rather than a rapper. She started singing as a child and, as a teenager, went through TV talent shows including the first season of Hlas Česko Slovenska (2012). She was introduced to the scene in 2015 by rapper Ego from Kontrafakt, who brought her into the Podzemgang project supporting new names. That is where their joint track “On je len kamarát” was born.

Since then she has released the albums Femina (2017), Podľa seba (2018), Bombím (2019) and Masterpiece (2022) – the first of her records to top the Slovak album chart – plus several EPs. Her go-to producer is Tomáš Gajlík. She has recorded with Ego, Ben Cristovao, Kali, P.A.T. and Adam Mišík, among others. According to YouTube, the video for “Toto leto” with Kali was the most popular music video on Slovak YouTube in 2020.

She has a strong presence on streaming services: in 2022 she appeared on a billboard in Times Square as part of Spotify's EQUAL campaign, and in 2024 she was the face of Forbes Slovakia's 30 Under 30 list. In September 2025 she sold out the stadium in her hometown of Trnava for around 25,000 people, and she has announced her biggest Czech concert to date for 13 November 2026 at Prague's O2 arena.
