Who is Annet X

Annet X is a singer, rapper and lyricist, a Brno native with Russian roots, whom the music media count among the most distinctive musicians on the Czech urban scene. She started out as a teenage blogger and YouTuber, and first drew wider attention with the single “Taktomabyt” (2016) with Ben Cristovao. In its RapStory series, Czech Television introduced her as a “child of the internet” who shows that rap doesn't have to be just about money and cars.

Her debut album Až budu velká, chci být Aneta Charitonova (“When I grow up, I want to be Aneta Charitonova”) came out in 2020. She took the title from her childhood notebook of life plans, and the record won her the Apollo Award for Album of the Year 2021; the same year, her music video “Bylo nebylo” also took home an Anděl Award. It was followed by the joint album Koukej se mnou (2023) with producer NobodyListen and the duet “To je moje holka” with Ewa Farná, which won the Collaboration category at the 2024 Anděl Awards.

Her music blends rap with R&B, soul and electronica. Her third album, BBYGIRL, came out in November 2025; it was made mainly with producer D.Kop and features Calin and NobodyListen. The media ranked it among the best Czech records of the year, and on the tour that followed, Annet X sold out Fléda in Brno and Roxy in Prague. In 2023 Forbes included her in its 30 Under 30 list.
