Who is Kojo

KOJO is a Brno rapper and a member of the Rychlí kluci collective, which operates under Mike Roft Records and also includes Calin and STEIN27. He has been on the scene since the second half of the last decade – releasing, for example, the EP RO-SÉ (2017) and recording tracks such as “3:15” and “House Get Low” with STEIN27. His breakthrough came in 2020 with the viral single “Lízátko”, which was certified platinum.

At the end of 2020 came the EP RÁDIO RYCHLÍ KLUCI, and in October 2021 his debut album Wiley. Reviewers highlighted its sound, built on British influences – grime and drill – mixed with other hip hop styles; the record features Calin and Ben Cristovao. He went on to work with Ben Cristovao repeatedly, for example on the tracks “Napořád” and “SPF”. After the EP Minibar (2022) came the album Late Checkout (2023), on which he moved towards pop rap with elements of afrobeat.

In 2025 he released two EPs, blue. and Co je teď víc, and he keeps putting out singles. Outside music, at the time of his debut he was studying at university and working as a hairdresser. In interviews he has also spoken about his own experiences of xenophobia. Live, he builds on energy and catchy hooks that the crowd picks up easily.
