Who is Ektor

Ektor, real name Marko Elefteriadis (born 1985), is a Czech rapper of Greek-Slovak descent and the son of singer Tena Elefteriadu. He has been on the scene since 2007 and recorded his debut album Airon Meidan with DJ Enemy in 2008. Wider attention came with the solo record Topství (2011), featuring the track “Nemáš zač”, and above all with the album Tetris (2012).

Under his own imprint, Detektor Records, he then released the trilogy Detektor (2015), Detektor II (2016) and Detektor III (2023), as well as the albums Alfa (2017), Marko (2019) and Original (2020). He is one of the best-selling Czech rappers: in 2021 he received 21 platinum records at once, including quadruple platinum for the album Detektor and quintuple platinum for the single “Kancelář (remix)”. Guests on his records have included Rytmus, Ego, Separ, James Cole, Strapo, Sergei Barracuda and Yzomandias.

He played the biggest concert of his career so far on 25 October 2024 at Prague's O2 arena, where he announced the album SATIVA, released in November of the same year. He regularly puts out new music on the YouTube channel EktorTV – in 2025, for example, the singles “PTSD” and “Dilema” – and also runs the clothing brand Detektor Gear.
