Who is IAM Oskar

IAM Oskar is Brno rapper and singer Oskar Hubáček. He originally wanted to play ice hockey professionally; when an injury put him out of the game at around fifteen, he started writing lyrics and recording them at home through old wired headphones over beats from the internet. He brought his stage name over from SoundCloud, where he posted his first tracks under that username. Today he makes music full-time.

His music is emotional, melancholic and personal – in an interview for the Czech collecting society OSA he said he has never written anything made-up in his lyrics. He lists Yung Lean, Lil Peep, Bring Me the Horizon and Linkin Park among his inspirations and has long been drawn to a more pop-punk sound. By his own account, he picks most of his beats himself from beatmakers abroad. He also reached a wider audience through TikTok, where for a while he set himself the task of posting content every day.

After the album MLADEJ SKAR (2023) and the track PRESS THE PLAY (2024), in September 2025 he released the ten-track record LOVERBOY, featuring Pam Rabbit (ANGELINA JOLIE) and Renne Dang (ROCKSTAR). In 2026 he is continuing with singles such as Emeraldy, dior sauvage and Chtěl bych ti říct.
